WORLD HY CORPORATE BONDS Family
The investment objective of the DMC FUND - WORLD HY CORPORATE BONDS Sub-Fund is to achieve a long term capital increase by offering to investors an access to the global “high yield” corporate bonds. This bond segment has some very interesting assets in portfolio construction. In fact, this type of bonds are structurally "diversifying", as compared to traditional assets: the credit risk of the underlying companies, the sensitivity to interest rate risk and the sectoral distribution are all sources of diversification for a multi-asset portfolio. In addition, historically, the risk of this asset class has been among the best rewarded, as compared to other segments. Finally, the potential of this asset class is attractive with an important yield at maturity in local currencies.
Banque Profil de Gestion through its Asset Management Division "Dynagest" has developed a diversification-based investment solution. The methodology used is quantitative (optimized sampling approach) and aims to build an efficient portfolio that reflects the sensitivity of the global index to multiple sources of risk, such as the distortion of the interest rate structure and changes in credit risk premia. Two instruments allow a rigorous control of these factors: the Key Rate Durations and the Duration Times Spread.
The strengths of the optimized sampling approach:
• consideration of a very broad, very diversified and non-truncated bond index (as compared to a liquid index)
• risk management at the center of the investment process
• portfolio turnover rate is minimized and lower than that of the index
• optimized fee structure
Quantitative modeling with focus on diversification
Subject to constant development using mathematical models often supported by advanced computational methods, the quantitative competence that the manager implements across the credit spectrum has led to the creation of the DMC Fund - World HY Corporate Bonds. The approach has been used since 2009 at the institutional level for Investment Grade bonds and since 2016 for High-Yield bonds.
